    An American mine-clearing team, escorted by a convoy of the Spanish Legion, inspects a road in North Afganistan when one of the vehicles sets off a mine. The detonation results in two people being gravely injured. Captain Varela (Ariadna Gil) is the official doctor of the MEDEVAC (helicopter adapted for medical use in the Spanish Army) arrives at the scene to rescue the injured.
